Our focus is to find ideal preclinical models and procedures for various types of experiments that will help understand and analyze our vaccine candidates. The team collects data from preclinical studies to determine if our vaccines can advance to clinical trials. We collaboratively work with the Immunology Team in generating data for all our vaccine candidates.
Joanne De Stefano, Director
In-Vivo Studies and Laboratory Program Management
Joanne De Stefano has over 30 years of experience in the pre-clinical science field and viral vaccine discovery. Joanne has been with IAVI since 2006 and leads the Pre-clinical Program and oversees the Design and Development Laboratory (DDL) Operations. Additionally, Joanne is an adjunct professor at the City University of New York (CUNY) at LaGuardia Community College, teaching research veterinary technology courses.
