IAVI Congratulates Deborah Birx, MD, on Her Nomination as the Next U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator

The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) congratulates Deborah Birx, MD, on her nomination as the next U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator. 

“Dr. Birx is a longtime advocate for a robust and comprehensive global response to HIV and AIDS that includes a vaccine,” said IAVI CEO Margie McGlynn. “She is a strong champion of innovative approaches and tools to reduce HIV infections around the world, and IAVI looks forward to working with her to accelerate the science and research that will provide them.”
